Muğla Ortaca Seismic Performance Assessment and Strengthening Project

As Muhkem İnşaat, we prepared the seismic performance assessment and strengthening project for a seven-story reinforced concrete building located in Ortaca, Muğla.

As part of the study, we conducted on-site inspections and measured survey (as-built survey) works to determine the existing condition of the building and analyzed its seismic performance. Based on the analyses, we determined that the building, in its existing condition, did not meet the required seismic performance criteria.

Accordingly, we prepared a strengthening project aimed at improving the building’s seismic safety. The strengthening solution included the design of reinforced concrete shear walls in both principal directions of the building, along with reinforced concrete column jacketing where required.

In addition, we prepared a technical specification in accordance with the strengthening project, defining the methods, technical requirements, and application principles to be followed during the strengthening works.
